By scheduling an appointment with Traveling Therapeutic Massage you are agreeing to the policies listed here.

A credit card is required to hold any appointment time
, in accordance with our policies. The appointment can be paid for in cash.

Set-up and break-down time takes additional time, so plan for an additional 30+ minutes of time from arrival to departure for set up and break down. For example, if you book 60 minutes, plan on it taking a minimum of 90 minutes from arrival to departure. There is no additional charge for travel and set up, unless traveling more than 30 miles.

The appointment time is the arrival time (your massage will start about 10-15 minutes later), I generally do not arrive early, unless you specify that as your preference and I am able to. If you would like your appointment to start at the top of the hour or at half past the hour, you need to let me know so that I can arrive early

Time can be added to most massages for an additional fee, if the time is available and scheduling allows it

*After Hour fee - after 7:45 pm weekdays / 6:45 pm on weekends additional $10/hour, after 9:45 pm weekdays / 8:45 pm weekends additional $20/hour

**There is no additional travel or set up fee, unless you are located a distance that is more than 30 miles away. Any appointments that are located more that 30 miles away will incur an additional fee of $1 per mile, see map to the right (or below depending on your device)

***30 mile travel range is factored with the starting point being the therapist's location. The general starting point for me is Hwy 101 (Pima Freeway) and Hwy 202 (Red Mountain Freeway), see marker on the map to the right (or below depending on your device). However, if another therapist is traveling to you the starting point maybe different, closer or farther away.  For appointments more than 30 miles away (from the therapist), an additional fee will be added, at the rate of $1 per mile

Add a hand-crafted sugar scrub to any massage!
Great way to finish your massage!  Perfect for women and men!
Exfoliates & nourishes your skin with all natural ingredients.
Almost essential here in Arizona's dry heat!

Sugar Scrub
*If adding to a massage, please mention when scheduling appointment*
3 ounces of scrub, about 1 ounce is used for the scrub during the massage, approximately 2 ounces will be left over for you to use again another time. These scrubs are amazing and I use them myself regularly.

The sugar scrubs are hand-crafted by novasolholisticstudio.com and contain cane sugar, a combination of natural butters (mango, coco, shea, etc) and oils (grapeseed, coconut, sunflower, etc.) and a combination of essential oils that sooth, heal and replenish the skin. Oils and butters vary depending on scent, as well as other natural ingredients such as lavender, vanilla bean, flax seeds. A variety of scents are available.

Frequently Asked Questions About Prices and Hours

Are you willing to work before or after your listed hours?
Yes, almost always. Though there is no guarantee that I can or that I can find someone willing to work. The more notice you can give when scheduling is always best, but even better when you are looking for an after-hours massage.

For some people, the only time they have available to get a massage is in the evening and it can be difficult to find a professional therapist that will do an at home massage later in the evening. I can generally schedule a massage in the evening but it is not always available. Also, if you are a regular client you are more likely to get a later appointment.

Why do you charge more for nights?
The simple answer, nearly every business in the country charges more for after hours. However, I know people's schedules do not always allow them to get massages during normal business hours so I am willing to work during off hours, but off-hours cost more and I do not do discounts on after hour appointments.

Do you take personal checks?
If you live here locally and it is drawn on a local bank, possibly. I prefer not to, but will consider it. Decision will be made on a case by case basis.

Why do you charge more than some of the other places?
Some places charge more, some places charge less. It is my opinion, that with massage, you generally get what you pay for. A lot of the places that charge less provide a 50 minute (and sometimes less) massage, use products that are of a lower quality, and/or the massage over-all is not that good.

The massage work that I do is well above average and I only use quality products without chemicals or fillers. Plus, I do a full 60 minutes (or 90 minutes or 120 minutes) of massage (and sometimes a little bit more). I care about the products I use and the work I do, and it shows in the massage. In my opinion, the price I charge is more than fair and reasonable for the quality of work I do.

Also, some places and therapists will charge more if you live in what they consider a "nicer" area or are staying at a high-end hotel or at a resort. I charge the same rate whether you in North Scottsdale or South Scottsdale, Paradise Valley or Mesa, whether you are a professional athlete (rock star or other high income earner) or if you have a regular paying job, or whether you are staying at the Phoenician or at a Holiday Inn. I do not think that it is fair or ethical to charge more based on what someone does for a living or if they are in an upscale location (can they afford it? sure, but how would you feel if the person in front of you at the store or a place of service got charged less than you did for the same item or service just because they make less than you do). I only time I charge more if I have to drive more than 30 miles to get to your house and/or if it is before or after my regular business hours.

Are your prices negotiable?
No, not really. I feel I charge a reasonable price for the quality of work I do, the length of time for massage (full hour+, not a 'spa hour'), the quality of products that I use, and the convenience of me coming to you. I do, however, offer a few different Specials, so check them out maybe one of them will work for you.

If you refer business to me, I am willing to give a discount for each person you refer to me, after they have received a massage from me. Besides that I do not do discounts other than the ones listed on my Specials page. My Testimonials should be able to show you that I give a great massage; all of my testimonials are from real people that have received a massage from me.

Also, I am self-employed which means the rate I charge is not what I 'make' per hour (there is a big difference between revenue
(rate charged) and income (what is actually made an hour)). I pay for everything for my business myself: all of the taxes (income tax & social security tax, which is about 25% or better of my revenue), all of the supplies I use, all the marketing, all the vehicle expenses (gas, insurance, & repairs) and everything else for my business. Please take that all of that into consideration before asking me for a discount other than the ones listed on my specials or packages pages. If you are an hourly employee you would not be happy if your employer gave you more hours but cut your hourly pay because they are giving you more work, so why should massage therapists be any different.

If you do not think that a top quality massage with top quality products is worth the rate that I charge, then I am probably not the massage therapist for you. There places that charge less than what I charge (to a degree anyway, when you take into consideration the length of massage they do, the quality of work they generally do, that you have to drive to them, and a lot of them require you sign a contract and pay a monthly fee to get the discounted rate), and here are some the places: Massage Envy, Hand and Stone, Elements, Craigslist, Backpage, etc.

Are the any issues with using Paypal?
I know of one slight issue. If you have a Paypal account but do not want to sign in to use that account, you cannot use the credit/debit card or email address that is connected to any Paypal account. They will not allow you to use either one of those if you are not signed into Paypal.

Besides that, there are no issues that I know of and it is quite easy to use. I have used it several times myself on other sites.
