Why Choose Me

licensed massage therapist
With all the massage therapists, massage services, day spa’s, and places to go you probably are wondering who or what place you should choose. So let me give eight reasons why you would should choose me and have me come to you to give you a great massage. On occasion I do have other therapists that work with me or for me, so with them some of the following reasons may not apply to them (such as particular products used, how linens are laundered, etc.). If another therapist works with me or for me, some or all of these may not apply to them, these reasons are for me only.

First, I am a professional Arizona state licensed massage therapist that has been providing mobile massage therapy in the Phoenix AZ area since 2008. For my training I attended Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (a school focused only on various healing arts and not a college that has no general focus), which is one of the best massage schools in the state of Arizona if not the country. Also, I regularly attend continuing education classes well beyond the state minimum requirements.

Second, my specialty is relaxing therapeutic massage which can be very helpful if you are having issues such as low back pain, kink in your neck, headache, sore legs, limited range of motion, difficulty sleeping, etc..  I can generally find the area(s) of your body that need work and have the training to be able to get you relief.  The work I do is very detailed and generally gets into most nooks and crannies while maintaining absolute professional boundaries, intentions and techniques. Several of the people that I have worked on say that I seem to just know the right amount of pressure to use, regardless if it is a bit lighter or a deeper pressure.  Also, most of the people that I have worked on have told me that it was one of the best massages they have ever had, check out my testimonials to see what some clients have to say.

Third, I have massaged all types of people, including professional athletes, musicians, entrepreneurs, elderly, children and many more.  With the variety of people that I have worked on, I have seen a variety of issues and have been able to help most of them (I will be honest and not say all, as I am not a miracle worker and every person is going to like every massage therapist's style or techniques). I treat all of the people I work on the same and with the utmost professionalism.
Fourth, I charge is very reasonable rate, especially considering the quality of work, the massage being a full hour+ (no 'spa-hour' here), the top quality products that I use, and the convenience of me coming to you around your schedule.  With massage a lot of times you get what you pay for, places that charge less will have to cut corners somewhere, such as the quality of product that they use, quality and/or effectiveness, a shorter massage (50 minutes or less instead of a full hour), or somewhere else. Also, I offer clear and honest prices and charge everyone the same rate regardless of where they live or are staying, or what they do for a living (some places will charge you more just because you are in a nicer area or if they know you have a high paying job, like an athlete or other high end jobs). I only charge an additional fee if the you are at distance that is more than thirty miles away and for appointments that are after hours or on a major holiday.

Fifth, I do not require a membership of any kind. There is no pressure to try to get you to sign up for anything. There is no monthly fee automatically deducted from your checking account or applied to your credit card. You do not have to worry about how many you have on credit for the ones you missed because you only pay for the ones that you actually get. However, I do offer packages where you would prepay for massages over a specific time period. The reason that I now offer packages is to encourage people to get regular massages and to give them a discount for committing to their health.
Sixth, I generally have appointments available in the morning, afternoon or evening, and sometimes after hours.  So your mobile massage can be done around your schedule. I also work with a team of female and male therapists, so if you are looking for a couples massage, I can accommodate that as well. Or if I am not available I can generally find a therapist to provide you with a great massage.

Seventh, I use only all natural products, no synthetics, such as 100% first press pesticide free pure Jojoba, (which pressed from a seed, not a nut, and is very similar to the oil our own skin produces so it easily absorbed into the skin and generally does not leave a greasy feeling), 100% cotton sheets and all natural detergent to launder my sheets, so no chemicals, dyes or perfumes.
And last but certainly not least, I use only top quality products and care about my clients comfort while they are on the table. I provide a comfortable high quality professional massage table, additional 1 1/2" of padding for your comfort, 100% cotton sheets, Jojoba (or lotion if preferred), relaxing music, a blanket, and a bolster (pillow that goes under your ankles/knees). When not using Jojoba, I use Sacred Earth Botanicals© unscented massage cream. The reason that I use this particular cream is because it is rich in essential fatty acids (great for the skin) and organic botanicals, hypo-allergenic, non-greasy, paraben free, and vegan, so it works well for almost anyone. In my opinion, it is one of the best creams on the market.

The massage table that I use is 30 inches wide and 73 inches long and it can hold up to 450 lbs.  And because everyone is not exactly the same size, length, width and proportions I have side extenders which I use quite often (many clients like the extra elbow room it gives them), end extenders for those a bit taller. I also have a Butterfly Cushion that is great for breast support, low back support and neck support, and a Body Cushion for extra support that helps to take some of the pressure off your body while you are lying down. If you would like to use the body cushion please let me know so I can make sure to bring it with me.
